Today was a day for catching up with people, especially my sister Martha and her family from Cincinnati, and my cousins, the Englishes with whom I stayed for most of the time in Louisville. |
My sister Martha and three of her children drove down from Cincinnati to see me and all of us drove to our sister Ann's house to see the progress on the extensive renovations that are taking place there. |
Next on the agenda was lunch at Shoney's. |
After Martha and the kids left for Cincy, Charlie went to Zachary Taylor National Cemetery to say hello to a friend, a sister of a classmate, who works there, but the office was closed when he arrived. |
In the evening Charlie had dinner with Bob and Judy English and their daughter Colleen and her new husband Allen. It was great to be with them now after Charlie couldn't come home for the wedding. |
