Maryknoll Church Talks 28-29 July 2007

St. Joseph Church Crescent Springs, Kentucky

St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs is just across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. I was able to visit my friend in Beaver, Ohio, and then stay overnight with my sister and her family, and then go to St. Joseph to speak at all the masses on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday after mass Charlie was invited to a breakfast with family friends and then in the evening to supper and a gathering at a cousin's house.
	St. Joseph Church is an old parish where Fr. Ed Brodnick is pastor with Fr. Ron Ketteler in residence. They provide four masses each weekend for a lively parish community.
	Karen Urb Berling (2nd left) was a roommate with Charlie's sister Mary at the University of Kentucky. St. Joseph's is her home parish, and she invited Charlie to breakfast after the last mass on Sunday.
	Back in Louisville in the evening, Charlie had dinner with the English family: Judith (right) and Bob English, and their daughters Colleen and Ellen (middle).
	After supper cousins Julie (seated) and Eric Hansen (white shirt) came over for a visit. Fr. John Myles (left) was also there.
