Christmas Day

This Christmas Day was the first time all the Dittmeier children had been together to celebrate Christmas since 1984 so it was a special occasion.  Martha came from Cincinnati, Ohio; Dennis from Cocoa Beach, Florida; Paul from Sheboygan, Wisconsin; and Chuck from Cambodia.
Living room of the Pewee house

Early in the afternoon the family started to gather at the house in Pewee Valley.  Because no one has lived there continuously the past five months, a lot of the usual holiday decorations were not in place, but it was still a festive and happy time.

More from the living room

Special guests this year were Shirley and Junior, the parents of Tammy (next to them, far right) who is married to Raymond.  This was the first time that some of the family and in-laws had had the opportunity to actually meet.

Uncle Mike with Caleb and Samuel

Uncle Mike Davis listens to tales from Caleb and Samuel Reed who came down from Cincinnati and were showing off their new transformers.

Another gathering in the kitchen

One of the nice features of the family home in Pewee is its design which allows people to move freely among the rooms so there is a constant movement of people.  Here a group gathers in the kitchen.

Martha, Ray, and Tammy

Here Martha Reed from Cincinnati listens to some conversations with Ray and Tammy from Crestwood.
