Church Talk
31 May-1 June 2003 (Saturday and Sunday)I spoke at St. John Fisher parish in Newtown, Ohio (a suburb of Cincinnati) this weekend. It was a delightful experience with a really fine group of people in the parish community there. I spoke at all four of the weekend liturgies and was the presider for the last two liturgies on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM and noon. I had set up a table in the church vestibule with various things I've brought from Cambodia, and it was uninteresting to talk to the people about the exhibit and answer their questions.
Family Visit
1 June 2003 (Sunday)
My sister Martha and her husband Mark live in Loveland, Ohio near Cincy so they came over for the noon mass today, and afterwards we went to their kids' favorite restaurant, Frisch's, for lunch. Then all of us except Mark headed for Pewee Valley. Martha and the kids will visit there for a few days.
