Normally the Maryknoll Lay Missioners have a General Assembly every six years with a Global Council held half way through that interval. 2006 is the normal time for a Global Council after the Assembly of 2003, but this year it preceded an Extraordinary General Assembly to examine the direction and structures of the MLM.
