| Maryknoll's policy is not only to recruit and train and send missioners overseas to work as Maryknollers, but also to collaborate and work together with other NGOs and like-minded groups to further the aims of mission. The goal is to get more people into mission, into service of the gospel, rather than more people into Maryknoll.
With this approach, Maryknoll works with other NGOs and mission organizations in varying degrees. Sometimes Maryknoll and another organization, like Caritas, jointly sponsor a project. Sometimes Maryknollers work in projects administered by other mission groups. And sometimes Maryknoll and other groups only share similar aims and goals, perhaps working together in what in Cambodia are called "sub-sector groups" on health, disabilities, AIDS, etc. Some of the groups with links to Maryknoll are profiled below: |
