Charlie Dittmeier had one day in Louisville before heading back to Cambodia via New York and Bangkok, and it was a busy day. Most of it was focused on visiting people. |
The first visit of the day wass to Virginia Mason, a friend of the family for many years. She had fallen just this morning and hurt her knee and wasn't too mobile. |
Next was a visit to Deacon Tom Ryan, one of the pillars of the Louisville Catholic deaf community. Tom had recently moved to Nazareth Home. |
A third visit was to Patsy Hock, a sister of a seminary classmate who has been quite ill. Patsy was able to give the latest information about his condition. |
In the evening, the Dittmeier brothers and sisters in Louisville gathered at the home of Mary and Mike Davis. Two of the younger set amused themselves with their own version of origami. |
Most of the adults stayed in the kitchen where they brought each other up to date on all the various happenings and travels of the summer. |
Finally it was time for pizza provided by our sister Jane. Our sister Martha from Cincinnati couldn't make it down but we called our brother Dennis in Florida because it was his birthday. |
