Today Charlie drove the rental car from Ft. Smith, Arkansas on the Oklahoma border to Little Rock and left the car at the airport where he was met by Bob Kordsmeier and his brother Clem who drove him back to Conway, Arkansas where he would stay for the week. Bob and his wife Lucille, here with a granddaughter, put Charlie up in their large home on a hill above the city. |

The Kordsmeier home is beautiful as could be expected from the family that founded the Kordsmeier Remodeling Service. The Kordsmeiers are avid hunters and fishermen as can be seen from the moose, elk, and deer in their living room. |

Farming, animals, and hunting are a part of every conversation in this small-town Arkansas. This is the mural on the wall of the bedroom given to Charlie. |

Charlie got a quick introduction to life on the farm as soon as supper was over and he and Bob took the 4WD out to close up the hen house and then pick some vegetables from the garden. Here Bob selects an Italian squash that is ready to be eaten. |
|
After a tour of some of the farm buildings and sheds, it was time to move cattle from one pasture to another. They are rotated among five pastures to give the fields time to recover from the grazing. |

Back at the house, Bob checked on his six different types of homemade wine fermenting in a basement room. |
