Immaculate Conception is one of three Catholic parishes in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. It is oldest of the three, harking back to the pioneer days before Arkansas became a state. |
|
The parish has a Saturday evening mass at 5:00 PM and on Sunday there are masses at 7:30, 10:00, 12:00, and 5:00 PM. The noon mass is in Spanish and is packed with standing room only. The Sunday evening mass is the Life Teen mass, attended by many young people. |

The rectory for the parish is located across busy Rogers Street. It is the old style Catholic rectory. Three priests live there, the pastor, Msgr. Richard Walsh (from Arkansas) and a priest from Eastern Europe and another from Africa. |
