It looks like the Tempest is detonating a mine here, but actually there
were no real landmines at the site of the demonstration.  (Much to the
disappointment of some of us who wanted to see them blow up something!)  Here
the Tempest flails (chains on the front of the machine) are just throwing dirt
in the air as the machine encountered a ridge or mound of earth in the underbrush.
