Several times over the years, Maryknoll has used L'Imprevu, a small "resort" with 25 small bungalows just seven kilometers outside of Phnom Penh, as a venue for planning meetings because it is away from the noise and dirt of the city but doesn't require the four-hour travel time to the coastal town of Sihanoukville. We decided to try L'Imprevu this year for a three-day workshop for our deaf program staff to prepare our plans for the next five years to present to our funders from Finland who will arrive on Monday. The DDP teaching staff (thirteen people from Phnom Penh and four provinces) had just finished a week of training in Phnom Penh, and while they were here, it made sense to take them and the research and administrative staff to this getaway to give them a break and to plan our input for Finland.
Here is a photo record of our three days there.
