Catholic Alliance for Charity and Development

As part of the outreach of the Phnom Penh diocese, Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler has gathered what used to be called the Catholic NGOs Group into a Catholic Alliance for Charity and Development. The goal is to better serve the poor and better represent the church in social justice in Cambodia. Today was one of the regular meetings.

Meeting of Catholic NGOs The group represents about 20+ NGOs and organizations with a Catholic foundation. The alliance now meets four times a year.
Speaker from the NGO Forum In addition to discussing two new ideas from the bishop, Mr. Chhit Sam Ath, the director of the NGO Forum, spoke of his group's vision and mission and described their experience in the recent series of meetings as Cambodia hosted the ASEAN countries in their annual meeting.
