Three or four times a year, the Christian community of Phnom Penh sponsors weekend retreats in Sihanoukville on Cambodia's southern coast.  The first retreat this year attracted sixteen people and most traveled by bus--a four-hour trip--to the small coastal town. Exiting the bus in Sihanoukville

The retreats are low-key and follow a simple format. Saturday began with a quiet period of meditative prayer in the center's pentagonal chapel. Morning prayer in the chapel
