Priests Retreat 2007

Every year the priests working in the three dioceses in Cambodia are invited to a retreat together at the Catholic center in Sihanoukville in Kampong Som province. This year a bishop from the Philippines, Luis Tagle, was invited to lead the retreat. He was quite good and was probably one of the reasons 37 priests attended the retreat, the largest number ever. The bishop gave each talk twice, once in English and once in French, because the clergy attending the retreat came from thirteen different countries.

Fr. Werachai at mass

Fr. Werachai, a priest from Thailand, resides at the retreat center and parish. Masses are celebrated in Cambodia with the priest sitting on a low stool instead of standing.
The group at morning prayer

Each morning and evening the priests would gather in the large church at the center for prayer together. The center serves as a parish for Sihanoukville.
