Salesian Sisters
Tuol Kork School Bazaar

18 December 2005

The Salesian sisters, brothers, and priests are known all over the world for their tremendous commitment and contribution to education.  They have large, excellent schools in many developing countries, and have trained the political and business leaders of many nations over the years.  In Cambodia, the Salesians have three schools, two of them run by the Salesian Sisters.  Their school for girls in Tuol Kork, an area of Phnom Penh, has an annual Christmas bazaar.

The school bazaar was something like a church picnic in the United States, but the emphasis was on food and an on-going show with different acts performed by the students for entertainment.  There was one game of chance for small children.  All in all, it was a great bazaar, mainly because everyone had a lot of fun.
