The Yarumal Missionaries are a mission group from Colombia in South America. They were founded in 1927 with Maryknoll's help and there has also been a link between the two mission groups in the ensuing years. Today two Yarumal seminarians, Ivan and John, were ordained deacons in an outdoor ceremony at the Khmer parish in Phnom Penh. Bishops from all three dioceses were present and so were hundreds of the local Catholic faithful.
This evening the Yarumal group had a reception for the new deacons at the bishop's house.
