World Vision Liturgy

World Vision building in Phnom PenhWe have been overcrowded at our Catholic liturgies for the English-speaking community for the past few years.  The Russian Cultural Center could only seat 287 people, and we always had people standing along the walls.  Then World Vision built a new wing and added a large auditorium on the top floor, and we decided to move the English-speaking Catholic community worship there.
The World Vision auditoriumThe elevator to the third floor isn't working yet and some of the smaller meeting rooms and storage areas are still being completed, but we decided to go ahead and make the move to the new WV auditorium today.  Here some of our crew check out traffic flow patterns in the new hall.  The Russian Cultural Center had a main center aisle while our new venue has two big aisles through the congregation plus two smaller aisles along the walls.
Our first liturgy at World VisionThe front of the hall has a rather plain and barren look, but I'm sure that will change as groups start to use it.  Our big surprise today was that we kept needing to add more chairs during the service, up to about 340 seats! Considering we only had 287 before, we're wondering where all the people came from!
