The boats raced during the Water Festival are rather amazing in themselves. Approximately 400 of them are entered in the three days' of competition, racing two at a time in elimination heats. It is always amazing to me how these boats--stored in sheds all over the country during the rest of the year--are transported to Phnom Penh and then launched on the Mekong. |
