Cambodian people live a good part of their lives in the dirt streets in front of and around their house. And so it's natural that their deaths are celebrated there also, at least for the segment of the population with Chinese roots. Here a Chinese family--all holding onto a rope which keeps them in a circle around a fire for burning different articles--performs rituals for a deceased member of the clan. |
